2 New Group Educational Foster Homes Opened

China Care has recently opened 2 new Group Educational Foster Homes in Beijing, which means we now have 5 such homes operating in Beijing. Each home allows up to six children to have a warm loving family and to gain an excellent education. These homes are designed to meet the needs of disabled children as they grow since many of China Care's children are unable to attend school due to physical disabilities or are able to attend, but do not thrive in school because they require special education.

In China Care's Group Educational Foster Homes, we place up to six school-aged disabled children together in a foster family. We also provide experienced teachers and a separate apartment which serves as the schoolroom for all of the children in the GEFH system. The children are taught a standard Chinese curriculum. The small class size, combined with the talented teaching staff, provides an intimate environment for the children to gain confidence and mature. This model has proven to be extremely successful in giving these bright children a family, an excellent education, and valuable life skills as they grow.

Not only do the Group Educational Foster Homes provide the children with a loving family, they also provide the children with a future. A dedicated family and a good education will improve the children's quality of life by both building their self-confidence and providing them with increased opportunities.

Baoji Children's Home expands into foster care

Since it's beginning several months ago, the Baoji Children's Home has welcomed many special needs children and it has been running at full capacity. In order to care for as many children as possible from the Baoji area, we have recently started foster care in the local area and already 9 of our children are living in their own loving foster families. Every time a baby moves into a foster family, it enables us to take in another child in need from a local orphanage.
