Every spring the Asian interest sorority Alpha Sigma Rho at the University of Georgia hosts Cultural Fusion, a performance event that showcases campus-wide talent for a good cause. The 2010 Cultural Fusion event marked the fourth consecutive year that the sorority has hosted this event in honor of China Care. Performers included the Ballroom Performance Group, Noteworthy acapella group, the Vietnamese Student Association, Filipino American Student Union and the African Student Union.
Alpha Sigma Rho vice president Jennifer Simpliciano said "Cultural Fusion was great! We had a great audience turn out this year and all of the performers shared a little bit of their culture with dancing and singing."
Alpha Sigma Rho has adopted the China Care Foundation as their national philanthropy organization, in which all chapters of Alpha Sigma Rho nation-wide raise funds and awareness for China Care. Over the years the UGA chapter of Alpha Sigma Rho has been able to fund three surgeries for children in need of life changing medical care.
