Financial Aid for American Adopting Familes China has a wonderful Waiting Child Program that is open to married couples
and singles. The Waiting Child Program is a program initiated by CCAA
for adoption of a child from China with a special health need. Many special needs children have minor, medically correctable special needs, some of which have already had surgery to correct the need. There are also children who have major handicaps and need the love and care of a permanent family. China Care provides financial aid to families who qualify by adopting special needs or older children. This is in the form of a grant, a low-interest loan, or a combination of both. The amount awarded is based on your family finances and need, although it usually ranges in the $2,000 to $4,000 range. Unfortunately, we can't help with an entire adoption as that would cut out many other families who need "just a little bit more" to get them through travel or the orphanage donation. We hope you might take it into your heart and see if you could give one of these children a home, good healthcare, and a chance for a better life.
