Empowering Youth

There were plenty of skeptics when 16-year-old Matt Dalio spent his evenings and weekends raising money to make his dream of creating a foundation to serve the most vulnerable children in China come true. But very often skepticism (“How is this kid going to do this?”) morphed into admiration and support when Dalio conveyed his love of China and his passion for helping its most vulnerable children. China Care Clubs

Students at high schools and colleges across the United States and Canada have formed China Care clubs to build awareness and raise money for the China Care cause. We currently recognize more than 50 clubs.

Dumplings Playgroups / Mentorship

China Care Club members regularly reach out to younger children, especially children adopted from China, through their "Dumplings" Playgroup and Mentorship programs. Our members organize playgroups, act as mentors, and organize activities designed to increase appreciation for Chinese culture.

Fundraising is a popular way for clubs to help generate significant donations that support our cause and are often a lot of fun for participants too! Every dollar raised makes a difference for the children in our care.

Volunteer Program

China Care encourages its active China Care club members to volunteer over the summer at The China Care Home, which is located in Beijing. The experience is typically just as rewarding for the volunteers as it is for the children who are eager for love and affection as they overcome their illnesses.
