Thank

XinXiu
and JinMei
Dear China Care,
I keep thinking about you and the generous gift you gave our family.
We've now been home a mere 6 weeks and are still in the midst of
adjusting to life as a family of three. With three school schedules
plus homework, Chinese dance and choir, swim lessons and TWO birthdays
this week, I haven't found the time until tonight to thank you again
for helping us.
I wish you could have been in our household this morning as the
girls (both adopted from China, 5 year old JinMei as an infant and
11 year old XinXiu just recently) found many ways to entertain themselves. |

First
theyworked together on a 100 piece puzzle, then did a lively dance
to the tune of "Happy Birthday to You, Cha Cha Cha", moving on to
coloring and writing notes in Chinese characters and finally playing
educational games on the computer. Every room in the house showed
evidence of their activity together. Two months ago this could not
have happened because JinMei's sister was still waiting for us in
China. The two girls are getting along incredibly well and get the
biggest kick out of talking about "mama de bizi" (mommy's nose)
as if I don't understand. Yes, there's a lot of Chinese being spoken
around our house with both of them attending Mandarin immersion
programs at school.
I'm
sending you some photos of XinXiu, who you helped us adopt. As you
can see, she's almost always at the side of my other daughter, JinMei.
Life is good.
Thank you!
