China Care Families

"Hope"

As we held two papers containing information about a little girl's life in front of us, we prayed. Her pictures were on the way to our home for consideration. She was a tiny, eight-year-old girl, who had been referred to us. As we prayed, we were impressed with the words out of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the purposes which I am purposing for you, says the Lord; purposes of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." We knew this little girl was our daughter, and her name would be Hope.

We have been able to watch rejection, and sorrow pass out of Hope's life, and have watched her grow in joy and peace. She is a delight to all who have been near her. Hope and our thirteen-year-old daughter Faith, also from China, have become wonderful friends, aside from being sisters. They happily chatter in Chinese together, especially about Mama and Papa. We are all now waiting for our ten-year old daughter Charity, also from China, to join us. It is with great gratitude that we thank China Care for their help in bringing our daughter Hope home.
