China Care Families "Giannuo " We have
been waiting for years to add another little one to our family. Secondary
infertility kept that dream from becoming reality, and financial concerns
kept us from pursuing adoption. But the dream of having another child
did not go away, and this past year we began to investigate our adoption
options ~ just to see what was possible. We began to budget and plan and
researched adoption agencies, and our application was accepted at the
agency of our choice. The plan was that with careful budgeting we would
be able to afford the fees and expenses as they occured over the long
paperchase and wait for a referral. And then we saw our daughter. Fu
Qian Nuo was one of the "waiting children" -- children with special needs
- on our agency's list. Once we saw her little face, our well-planned,
long-term budget went out the window: the special needs program is expedited
and we would have to find a way to finance this adoption in less than
half the time as the regular program. We held yard sales and other fundraisers,
and hoped not to have to max out our credit cards. We also wrote to China
Care Foundation. We
are so grateful to China Care for their assistance. Our little girl has
been waiting for a family for three years, and our family has been waiting
just as long for her. Thanks to China Care we don't have to wait much
longer. At this writing, the only thing we are waiting for is travel approval
to go to China to bring our little girl home, so that she can get the
medical attention she needs and a family that already adores her. Thank
you China Care, for helping these children find their way to their forever
families! -Annie
