Q: What is China Care’s mission?
A: The mission of the China Care Foundation is to give special needs Chinese orphans the opportunity for a better life and to empower youth through direct humanitarian service. By providing extensive medical, social and educational programs devoted to children, China Care makes a lasting contribution to our shared future.
Q: What is The China Care Home?
A: The China Care Home is a 24-hour pre and post operative medical facility which can serve nearly 80 orphaned children. Our China Care Home, located in Beijing, provides medical care and nurture for infants and toddlers that suffer from mild to life threatening birth defects. While in our care, the children are watched over by specially trained nannies who wipe away their tears, patiently coax smiles onto their faces and embrace them with soothing hugs.
Q: Who gets treated at The China Care Home?
A: Orphaned infants and toddlers who are in need of medical treatment due to moderate or severe birth defects are sent to The China Care Home.
Q: Where is China Care located?
A: The China Care Home is located in Beijing. The China Care Foundation’s administrative office is in Westport, Connecticut.
Q: Why partner with Half The Sky Foundation?
A: In 2009, the China Care Foundation formed a partnership with Half the Sky Foundation because of the extraordinary synergies that exist between our philosophies and missions. Where Half the Sky offers education and nurture, China Care offers specialized medical care and nurture. Half the Sky's plan to bring their programs to every province in China gives China Care the opportunity to expand its reach exponentially. As a result, this partnership makes for a better overall plan for the well-being of orphans in China and will help us serve more orphans with special needs.

China Care Foundation, Inc.
P.O. Box 607
Westport, Connecticut 06881
To use a credit card, please use our convenient online donation form at www.chinacare.org. We are happy to help you make regular, automatic recurring donations as well.
Q: How will my donation be used?
A: Since the Board of Directors underwrites our operating expenses, 100% of your donation goes toward providing essential medical care and nurture to the children in our care. Your contribution will help pay for surgery, the tender loving care of a nanny and basic child care and medical supplies for the children at The China Care Home.
Q: How can my company or organization become a sponsor of China Care?
A: We welcome corporate and foundation support. To pursue an opportunity with us, please contact our Director of Development.
Q: Does China Care accept stock as donations?
A: Yes. If you would like to contribute to the China Care Foundation by donating stock, please contact us.
Q: Does China Care accept supplies (or in-kind donations)?
A: While we appreciate efforts made in the past to send us much needed supplies, we no longer accept any in-kind donations. We are very fortunate to have an ample amount of medical supplies as well as toys and educational materials for all the children at The China Care Home.
Q: Can I volunteer or fundraise for China Care?
A: We can always use volunteers. If you are a student, you can start or join a China Care club. Whether young or old, you can host a benefit (i.e. lemonade stand, cocktail party) in our name and send the funds you raise to China Care to support our cause. The volunteer program in China is open to active China Care club members only. If you are interested in volunteering your time to help in our Connecticut office, please contact us.
Q: Does China Care provide financial aid to families adopting children from China?
A: China Care does not provide financial aid to families adopting children from China. The China Care Foundation provides medical treatment and nurturing care for orphaned children in China.
Q: I am interested in adopting one of the children on your website, how do I go about doing so?
A: China Care cannot recommend adoption agencies or give advice about adoption because our agreement with the Chinese government requires us to stay out of that process. Prospective adoptive parents should go through the adoption process set up by the Chinese government.
